Columbia, SC – Cod Tail Seafood and Chicken
Cod Tail Seafood and Chicken will open in an old Rush’s fast food location on Decker Boulevard in Columbia. Rush’s, a Columbia fast food restaurant chain opened in 1940, closed its location at 2540 Decker Blvd. in November 2019, The State reported. Cod Tail, a seafood restaurant chain in Georgia and South Carolina, will open in the building soon, according to a banner posted on the restaurant’s entrance.

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Foxy Brown
The Foxy Brown, the intimate and unassuming downtown Fort Lauderdale favorite from Be Nice Restaurants group, is moving. Don’t panic — it’s good news: The new Foxy Brown will be a 10-minute walk away in the former Good Spirits space just off Federal Highway, a larger, brighter stage for its well-regarded menu, with more parking, a bigger bar and a larger outdoor patio. Owner Elliot Wolf is still working on the timeline for the transition into the new location — it’s “beautiful, turnkey,” he says — and estimates it’s 40-60 days away. Wolf says he is in discussions with another restaurant to take over his current lease.

Kirkland, WA – Bok a Bok Fried Chicken
Seattle’s fried chicken destination just announced their fifth outpost at the The Village at Totem Lake, bringing all manners of brined, battered and twice-fried chicken to Kirkland soon. Their menu is highly customizable, with selections of drumsticks, wings, strips and thighs in a variety of different dry rubs and/or drenched in sauces like spiced honey and garlic. Sides like kimchi macaroni and cheese and buttermilk biscuits give Bok a Bok a leg up on the competition.

Seattle, WA – Harmony & Grain
Ballard’s Gather Kitchen & Bar will host a new inventive, fast-casual pop-up starting in March. Focused on healthy foods, the menu is set to include grain bowls featuring locally-sourced vegetables, legumes and fruits as well as a variety of house-made sauces and toppings. Their Great PNW Bowl with smoked salmon, roasted brussel sprouts, dried cherries and apples, and topped in a delicate yogurt vinaigrette will prove to be refreshing as the weather warms up.

Alchemy will feature creative, seasonal New American fare along with incredible selections of sushi and a list of approachable craft cocktails, all served in a casual, family-friendly environment.
