United States – The Cuba Internet Task Force will hold its second public meeting on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Harry S. Truman Building, 2201 C Street NW, Room 1107. The Task Force, a Department of State-sponsored advisory body composed of U.S. government and non-government representatives, aims to promote the free and unregulated flow of information into and within Cuba in accordance with the June 16, 2017 National Security Presidential Memorandum-5 “Strengthening the Policy of the United States Toward Cuba.” The Task Force examines the technological challenges and opportunities for expanding internet access and independent media in Cuba.
