Pennsylvania News: Monroeville Man, Warren Worthy Sentenced for Distributing Heroin that Caused Woman’s Overdose Death

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – A resident of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 30 months’ imprisonment, followed by 3 years’ supervised release, on his conviction of distribution and possession with intent to distribute a quantity of heroin, United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced today.

United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence on Warren Worthy, age 21.

According to information presented to the court, on March 3, 2016, Worthy sold a bundle of heroin (10 stamp bags) to a female who used the heroin that day and overdosed.
