NEW YORK | US stocks tick higher as major indexes build on big rally
NEW YORK — U.S. stocks are turning slightly higher Thursday after huge gains the day before. Energy companies are rising with oil prices and health care companies, which have done far better than the rest of the stock market recently, are continuing to rise.
Technology companies and banks are dipping.
The S&P 500 index is coming off its largest rally in eight months and has climbed 4.3 percent this week.
