New Mexico News: Acoma Pueblo Woman, Shania Shroulote Sentenced for Federal Child Abuse Conviction

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Shania Shroulote, 25, an enrolled member of the Acoma Pueblo who resides in San Fidel, N.M., was sentenced today in federal court in Albuquerque, N.M., to three years of probation for her conviction on a misdemeanor child abuse charge.

On June 28, 2018, Shroulote pled guilty to an information charging her with child abuse. In entering the guilty plea, Shroulote admitted that on March 11, 2017, she operated a motor vehicle recklessly within the Acoma Pueblo while under the influence of alcohol and caused a single vehicle collision.
