Florida Man Who Assaulted Airline Flight Crew and Passengers Sentenced to Two Years in Prison
Defendant Banned from Flying during Three Year Term of Supervised Release after Prison
A Tampa, Florida, man who assaulted crew and passengers on a Delta Airlines flight bound for China was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to two years in prison for four federal felonies in connection with the July 16, 2017 incident, announced U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes. Joseph Daniel Hudek IV, 24, pleaded guilty in February 2018. Hudek claimed he suffered a psychotic episode with hallucinations after consuming marijuana edibles.
